We lost my husband's grandmother near the end of June and her funeral was on Thursday, June 29th. She was such a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. She was 99 when she passed and has been struggling for some time now. Can't help but think about her all the time and her patience and attitude towards life and family. She will be missed. But I'm glad she is at peace now.
Working on my website again today to finish sizing, pricing, and photographing my work. I've developed a pricing model that incorporates the size, materials and time spent on each work. Eventually I'll need to include packaging and shipping into the model.
The artist I studied today is KAWS, I watched a documentary about him this morning along with an India artist named Bharti Kher. She and Kaws both cross over all mediums, sculpture, paintings etc. I think I need to try more of this.
Planning a BBQ with my husband and in-laws tonite. While my kids are grown and gone, I can't help but think of my husband with them on a day like today. I'm lucky to have a such a wonderful supportive husband and two great kids.
I study a different artist each day. Studying the art of Chuck Close this morning. Amazing life like work. I wasn't aware of him having to overcome life in a wheelchair. What an inspiring story!

Still working at the BBB full time. Getting more excited by the day, I spend a hour each day before I leave looking at you tube at other artists work, seeing info about their studios etc. Each Sat & Sun and days off I'm trying to work 9-4 pm on painting in my daughters room turned into a studio. At this point, I've pretty much taken over the house. With my sons room turned into a photography studio and the spare room downstairs turned into a finishing room to store all of the final works ready for hanging. I've started my website but starving for time to complete everything.
Spent the day working on the website. My husband and I did go and buy (2) huge canvases something like 50" x 60"late yesterday. With the 35 mph wind it was an interesting adventure. Now the "white canvas" stands out, I'm excited to try something large.
