Happy Father's Day

Planning a BBQ with my husband and in-laws tonite. While my kids are grown and gone, I can't help but think of my husband with them on a day like today. I'm lucky to have a such a wonderful supportive husband and two great kids.
I study a different artist each day. Studying the art of Chuck Close this morning. Amazing life like work. I wasn't aware of him having to overcome life in a wheelchair. What an inspiring story!
I'm getting very close to publishing my website and struggling with issues of showing myself so publicly. I'm really a pretty shy person and struggle with the self-promotion aspect of being an artist. But as nervous as I am, I know that I have nothing to hide. I'm an artist part-time right now and I have a scattered body of work developed over the past 7-8 years.
I have mixed feelings about the work being so scattered. On one hand, I like not being restricted to one medium or to one type or style of art. On the other hand, I do believe it's the number one piece of advice I've received over the years, to commit to one series of work at a time
